Coding Negotiations with AI: Understanding and Using the Vanderbilt AI Negotiation Coding Model

Abstract: This paper provides guidance for scholars wanting to use AI negotiation transcript coding model 1 of the Vanderbilt AI Negotiation Lab. This includes a link to the Lab’s website, a description of model 1’s codes and coding process, and a report of tests that support the model’s validity. It also includes instructions for how to set up and submit your data.
