Communication and Conflict: The Consequences of Poor Communication
Abstract: Poor communication impedes collaboration and promotes conflict. When people communicate ineffectively, they limit the flow of information, erode trust, and make worse decisions. In this symposium, we present four papers that describe the consequences of common communication failures. Each of the four papers underscores the hazards of ineffective communication and offers insight into how to communicate more effectively in ways that can promote cooperation.
