Workshop: Using Video Analysis To Accelerate Student Learning

Abstract: This workshop introduces attendees to a teaching method that has shown promise in negotiation courses. Specifically, it highlights video analysis as an essential tool that instructors can integrate into their curriculum. Video analysis involves recording student negotiations, after which students review their own negotiation performance and that of their peers. Providing self and peer feedback helps reinforce student learning and illustrate opportunities for improvement. Four presenters, each with extensive experience and knowledge, will share their experience using video analysis. Each presenter will share how they execute this teaching tool and discuss how the analysis is conducted in the classroom.
