Abstract: We delve into the complex dynamics of shared leadership in teams, highlighting the roles of leaders' unknowingness and political skill as pivotal factor in modulating team conflict and performance. We posit that leaders’ recognition of their knowledge limitations and their politically savviness can temper team conflict and bolster performance. Our work aims to offer a nuanced understanding of shared leadership, particularly through the lens of conflict management, underscoring the critical role of unknowingness and political skill in navigating team complexities.
