Staying In Love From Far Away: How Moral Legitimacy of Telecommuting Sustains Identification and Commitment

One of the challenges of telecommuting is to keep employees committed to organization, despite the lack of face-to-face contact. We conducted a longitudinal survey during COVID-19 pandemic and found that moralization of social distancing increased perceived legitimacy of telecommuting, which, in turn, led to higher organizational identification and commitment.
