It’s not racist if everybody does it, or is it? Normality, morality, and defensiveness in racism judgements
Abstract: We construct an inventory of racist behaviors to capture the interindividual scope of the participants’ concept of racism. This inventory can be used to understand how a person’s understanding of racism (and “normal” intergroup behavior) is related to their reaction to criticism of, and willingness to change, their intergroup behavior.
Keywords: intergroup conflict, intergroup reconciliation, cognitive factors, prejudice
