The Gender License Gap: Gendered Barriers In The Engineering Licensing Process

We investigate the gender gap in the licensing process for professional engineers. Our results highlight the intersection of gender and age in understanding the gender licensing gap: younger (but not older) women are less likely than their male counterparts to satisfy the professional experience requirement to be licensed.
