The Future of the Field: Open Science and the Negotiation Data Repository

This session will introduce conference participants to the Negotiation Data Repository, a joint project of the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School (PON) and the International Association for Conflict Management (IACM). At a time when data is of ever-increasing importance to society, the NDR will serve as the world's premier collection of qualitative and quantitative data on negotiation and conflict resolution, enabling advances in scholarship that would not otherwise be possible. The session will include discussion of the repository's background and vision, general guidance for contributing to and using the NDR, instructions for uploading data sets to the NDR, and examples of data sets that have been uploaded to the repository. The presenters will also promote discussion on the potential of Open Science to transform research on negotiation and conflict resolution.
