AI Agents Negotiating Deals and Resolving Disputes

AI agents negotiating deals and resolving disputes is not on too many negotiation scholars radar. The purpose of this roundtable is 1) to inform researchers, practitioners, and teachers about some of the AI negotiating agents that are being built and used to negotiate deals and resolve disputes; and 2) to stimulate discussion about policy, practice and implications of using AI agents in negotiation and dispute resolution. Presenters will describe platforms where AI agents serve as neutrals facilitating agreements between two human negotiators or disputants and platforms where AI agents are advocates negotiating with a human negotiator. Discussants and presenters will address a set of questions about policies and ethics and implications of using AI agents for negotiating deals and resolving disputes.
