Impacts of Giver Salience on the Recipients of Aid
We have made incredible advancements in cures to some of our world’s biggest issues: such as poverty, hunger, and diseases. However, even though advancements in technology, science, and medicine have seemingly given us the solutions to some of the leading causes of these problems, we still see an inordinate amount of poverty, hunger, and death. Behavioral economists would suggest that solving these most impactful issues has little to do with coming up with the solutions, but rather, figuring how to better implement these solutions. The present aims to shed light on one nuance of implementation by looking at how differences in giver salience during implementation impact recipients.
